Event Overview
Emerald Hills Chess and the Valley View Elementary PTA invite you to the First Annual Pleasanton Youth Chess Open on Sunday April 21st.
The tournament is open to all local K-12 players, from unrated novices, after-school chess club members, online players trying their first in-person tournament, and of course experienced USCF-rated competitors!
Individual player scores will also be tallied to determine the best school teams in Pleasanton!
Economical to enter, with more than 20 trophies for top finishers by section, grade and rating!
Sections:
1) Challenger (unrated)
Who: First-time & newer tournament players (max US Chess 300 rating)
Cost: $5 by April 16th, $10 afterward
2) Premier (rated)
Who: Experienced players up to 600 rating
Cost: $10 by April 16th, $15 afterward
3) Championship (rated)
Who: Players above 600 rating
Cost: $10 by April 16th, $15 afterward
