DIRECT FIDE TITLES AND NORMS AVAILABLE

This is a completely open event for those who meet the Age and Country/Eligibility requirements.

Eligibility: Chess players with a FIDE ID and a flag from Mexico, USA or Canada, born on or after Jan 1st 2006. Each National Federation may register as many players as they wish.

SECTIONS - Age as of 1/1/2024 (Girls may enter either section): Under 18 Open & Under 18 Girls, Under 16 Open & Under 16 Girls, Under 14 Open & Under 14 Girls, Under 12 Open & Under 12 Girls, Under 10 Open & Under 10 Girls, Under 8 Open & Under 8 Girls

Format: 9SS, G/90+30 - USCF & FIDE RATED - FIDE Rules & December FIDE Rating supplement used for Pairings and Standings.

Schedule: Opening Ceremony: Tue Dec 18th 9:45am. Rounds: Rounds 1 & 2: Wed 12/18 10am & 4:30pm; Round 3: Thu 12/19 9am; Rounds 4 & 5: Fri 12/20 9am & 3:30pm; Round 6: Sat 12/21 9am; Rounds 7 & 8: Sun 12/22 9am & 3:30pm; Round 9: Mon 12/23 9am. Closing Ceremony/Awards: Mon 12/23 3pm. 2024 North American Youth Blitz: Thu Dec 19th 3:30pm. FIDE Blitz (Open & Amateur/U1800): Sat Dec 21st 3:30pm.

Registration Fees: Early Entry fees (includes $60 CCA fees): $140 before Oct 18th. $160 after Oct 18th and before Nov 18th. After Nov 18th and before Dec 4th: $160 EF + Additional penalty fees $50. After Dec 4th $160 EF + Additional penalty fees $100. Official players MUST register through their Federation before Nov 18th. Between Nov 18th and Dec 4th pay $50 penalty fees online or onsite on Dec 17th. No Official players allowed to register after Dec 4th. No ONLINE Registrations for any player after Dec 16th 2024. ONSITE Registrations at the Hotel Venue on Dec 17th will incur a $150 penalty in addition to the $160 Entry fees. 20% service fees for withdrawal after Dec 4th. NO REFUNDS ARE ALLOWED AFTER DEC 16th.

Awards/Direct FIDE Titles and Norms: This tournament will award international titles and norms in accordance with the FIDE Handbook per section B.01, Tables 1.23a and 1.23b, of the FIDE Handbook (effective January 1, 2024). Medals to top 3 in each section (on tiebreaks if necessary).
