OVERVIEW
The 2024 NC Open K-8 Scholastic is a 5 round K-8 tournament held alongside the NC Open and US Masters. It is open to all players aged 13 or younger with a rating under 700 (or unrated).

REGISTRATION
- Online registration strongly recommended
- All Registration closes 1 hour before round 1 start time
- On-Site Registration: Saturday 9:00-9:30am
ELIGIBILITY
- K-8 players only (age 13 and under)
- Players must be unrated or rated under 700 based on the November 2024 US Chess rating supplement.

TIME CONTROL
G/20, inc/10
Each player begins with 20 minutes and receives a 10 second bonus per move.
PRIZES
Trophies to top 10, based on US Chess standard tiebreaks
