2024 Four States Winter Open

Hosted by the Joplin Chess Club US Chess affiliate

Format:

4 round Swiss, Game in 60 with 5 second delay (G/60,d/5), dual rated
Two sections; Open and Under 1400, sections may be combined for pairing purposes
One 1/2 point bye available if requested before the beginning of round 2

Round Times:

9:00, 12:00, 3:00, 5:00 (or ASAP after round 3 completes).

Entry fee: $40. Scholastic players can (K-12) play for rating only, 50% off entry. E-mail registration accepted, cash only on-site. MCA membership required for MO residents; available on-site.

Prizes:

$600 prize fund based on 30 full-paid entries. Scholastic entries count as half.

Open: $160, $120; U1600 $100
U1400: $100, $80
4.0 Bonus: $20

Registration: Entry fees may be paid in cash in person on 3/2/2023, checks (payable to Martin Stahl) can be mailed, to be received by 3/1/2023, or through PayPal: paypal.me/joplinchess

Preference that all players have current US Chess memberships. US Chess membership can be processed online at uschess.org and membership can be accepted on site for CASH ONLY. Please check the USCF site for rates or contact TD for details for membership renewal or purchase on site.
