Event Overview
OVERVIEW
The Charlotte Summer Open is a 5 round classical event with a guaranteed prize fund of $6,500 plus a $500 Saturday evening blitz. There is a registration cap of 140 players.
ELIGIBILITY

There is a USCF rating minimum of 1000 to enter, based on July US Chess ratings or a live rating thereafter.

This rating minimum applies to all players – adults and kids.

Peak ratings are not considered.

Unrated players and those rated under 1000 should email us to join the waitlist, and may be given a spot if the total attendance does not reach 140 players.

K-8 players rated under 1000 may play the Rated Scholastic - North held on Saturday, 7/20. See events schedule for other options this weekend.
