This year’s Arkansas Open will use the same three-day/two-day format from last year, meaning that players are able to choose whether they want to play Friday, Saturday, and Sunday or just Saturday and Sunday. Entry fee is $60. US Chess membership and ACA dues are required. ACA dues are ($10/yr adults 21+, $5/yr youth). Entry fees can be paid through cash, check, or a card onsite. All players will be in the same section, while prizes will be determined based upon overall and rating performance. This is an open tournament, meaning that any player within the US Chess organization can play, but only AR players are eligible for the title or trophies. Accelerated pairings will be used to mitigate rating gaps in the early rounds. Bring your own chess equipment. Contact information: arkansaschess@gmail.com or 870-688-6423.
