2023 SCC Summer Smash

Prizes $500 based on 25 paid entries total. In case of higher/lower field of players, prizes shall change proportionally. 2 sections. Open: 1st, $200–2nd, $125 U1400: 1st, $100–2nd, $75. No prize limits for unrated/provisional players.

Entry fee: $25 dollars, $30 dollars after round 1. Register at https://www.reg4chess.com/register.asp?tid=6521, or on-site. NMs and FIDE TITLED PLAYERS FREE ENTRY with $25 off of prize. USCF dues must be paid before round 1. Re-entry: (No Open to Open) Open to U1400, $15.

Schedule: Reg. 8 AM Sat (only for those not pre-registered), rds Sat. 9 AM, 1 PM, 6PM. Sun 9 AM, 1 PM, close and prizes at 4PM. Byes: all 1/2, limit 2, must commit before round 2. Prizes not claimed sent through Paypal, usually within 2-3 days. Parking free at the lot adjacent to the Student Union.
