This is a completely open event for those who meet the Age and Country/Eligibility requirements. 

Format: 9SS, G/90+30 - USCF & FIDE RATED - FIDE Rules & December FIDE Rating supplement used for Pairings.

Registration Fees: Early Entry fee: $160 by Oct 19th 2023; Late Entry Fee: $175 Oct 19th 2023 until Dec 17th 2023. No ONLINE Registrations after 12/17/2023). No refunds allowed. No BYES allowed. Onsite Registrations and Corrections/Section Changes on Dec 18th 12PM - 10PM at the Hotel Venue will incur a $50 Penalty.

Under 20 Open

Under 20 Female (Girls may enter either section)

Awards/Direct FIDE Titles: This tournament will award international titles and norms in accordance with the FIDE Handbook. Medals to top 3 in each section (on tiebreaks if necessary). Open section – Gold medal: IM title and GM norm; if tie for first, top 3 on tiebreaks receive IM title, gold medalist also earns GM norm. Silver medal: FM title and IM norm. Bronze medal: FM title and IM norm. Girls section – Gold medal: WIM title and WGM norm; if tie for first, top 3 on tiebreaks receive WIM title, gold medalist also earns WGM norm. Silver medal: WFM title and WIM norm. Bronze medal: WFM title and WIM norm. Also, in accordance to the FIDE Handbook, the first place will earn an Official Player spot in the Pan-American Chess Championship U20 and in the North American Junior Chess Championship U20 for 2024, if still eligible by age.
