2023 New Mexico Blitz Championship

Format:

• Single Section; 8 Round Double Swiss; G/3+2
• $40 Entry Fee by 11:59pm on 5/6/23, $50 Entry Fee after 11:59pm on 5/6/23
• $10 Discount on Entry for players also registered for the Rapid Championship with code nmrapidblitz23

Prizes:

• 1st $100, 2nd $75, U1800 $50, U1600 $50, U1400 $50, U1200 $50, U1000 $50, U800 $50, Top Finishing Scholastic Player $50, Biggest Upset $100
• Top finishing NM Resident will be crowned the 2023 New Mexico State Blitz Champion, if there is a tie they will be named co-champions; Prize money will be awarded based on finishing placement regardless of residency

Schedule:

• Round 1 begins at 10:00 AM, additional rounds begin 5 minutes after the previous round finishes. A lunch break may be determined by player consensus on site.
• Onsite Registration from 9:00-9:30am, Sunday, May 7th.

• USCF Membership required for all sections. Online registration is open until 10:25am on 5/7/23 at the following link or at nmchess.org

  • Players who register after 9:30am may receive a 0 point bye for round 1. Players who register onsite without a valid USCF ID may receive a 0 point bye for round 1
