Event Overview
A state championship event!
Date: Sunday, November 19, 2022.
Format: 5 round swiss, G/30;d5.
Location: Brookdale Community College - Student Life Center; parking in lots 6 and 7.
Sections: K-12. Players MUST play in the section exactly corresponding to their grade in November 2023.
Equipment: Only boards and sets will be provided; players should bring their own clocks.
Prizes: Trophies to top 10 players and top three school teams in each section. Trophies or medals guaranteed for all players with 2.5+.
Rounds: 10 AM, 11:30, 1:30 PM, 3:00, and 4:30. Awards ceremony ASAP after the end of round 5.
Entry Fee: Online: $45 by 10/21, $50 by 11/11, $55 afterward; $55 by mail postmarked by 11/9; $70 onsite. Registration: Online using this form, Online registration closes at 10 PM on 11/18 or when tournament reaches maximum player capacity. (Sign up early to guarantee your spot!) Mail entries to 150 Overlook Ave, Apt 4G, Hackensack, NJ, 07601 (include name, grade, DoB, USCF ID and expiration, address, phone, and entry fee). Mail entries must be postmarked by 11/9 or they may not be processed. Onsite registration from 8-9 AM, after 9 AM half-point bye for round 1.
