2023 GREATER SACRAMENTO OPEN YOUTH CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP

Date: February 24rd thru February 26th Location: 9706 Fair Oaks Blvd, Fair Oaks, CA 

Open Section: Open to all current USCF members age 18 or under. If you need a new membership then please do both of the following before paying your Entry Fee: 

1) Go to USCF Membership (Scroll Down) [https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess] :: and click the appropriate Join button on the far right. 2) After you have joined the USCF please send us your Name and new USCF ID at [email protected]  

Time Control: G/60, d5 7 Rounds: Round 1 & 2 Friday, 5:30 PM, 7:45 PM :: Rounds 3 & 4 on Saturday 4:00 PM, 6:30 PM :: Rounds 5, 6 & 7 Sunday 10:00 AM & 1:00 PM and 4:00PM. After 7 rounds over, TOP 3 score players will play G5:D05 Blitz round robin to decide the winner of GREATER SACRAMENTO OPEN YOUTH CHAMPION.

Entry Fee Must Be Sent by Thursday Night, February 23rd: $85 Entry Fee sent through Zelle using [email protected] or PayPal using [email protected] When paying please add a note with the Player’s Name, USCF ID, Email Address, and Phone Number so we can contact you and we know that you have paid in advance. Late fee $15 after February 23rd. We will not refund the entry fee for No Show players. Cancellation before February 23rd will fully refund. If you cancel on the same day before the tournament starts, we will refund 75% of the entry fee. Two half point byes can be requested before the 3rd round. 

Prizes: 1st: $500 + Trophy , 2nd: $150 + Trophy , 3rd: $100 + Trophy , 4 - 10 - Trophy
