• The 3-day and 2-day schedules will merge in Round 5.

• Regular entry winners get full calculated prize, Econ entry winners get 50% calculated prize

• A player who withdraws during the tournament is not eligible for prize money
• Prizes can be paid out by check, PayPal or Zelle through bayareachess.com/prizeform

Sections & Bye rules:

• Players will be placed into sections based on their published November USChess rating supplement
• A player may play up one higher section, double play up is not allowed
• Section MX, AB, & BC are both USCF and FIDE rated. Section DE is only USCF rated.
• ½-point Byes are available with the following conditions: maximum 3 (more than 3 will be 0-point byes); must be requested at least 1 hour before that round's scheduled start; changes to last two rounds after round 3 implies player donating earned prize money to BAC
