Time Control: G/60; d5
Registration: 7:30am to 8:25am
Rounds: Round 1 starts @ 9:00am, subsequent rounds start a.s.a.p., t.b.a. (includes a lunch break).
Titled Players: The first 3 pre-registered and confirmed Titled Players (NM +) will play for free, with $30 being deducted
from any awarded prize(s) of $100 or more. To be eligible the players must send in an early entry fee, which will be
reimbursed provided that the aforementioned requirements are met.
Entry Fee: $30 check, money order or PayPal received by 08/17/2023, or else $40 cash only at site. Current Murfreesboro
Club Members receive $5 off of EF. TCA Membership is optional, but highly encouraged.
Prize Fund: $945 based on 35 players, or else proportional avoiding any losses, and adding to the prize fund if possible.
Top Section (1600+): 1st $200, 2nd $100, Expert Class $60, A Class $60, B Class $60
Amateur Section (U1600 only): 1st $150, 2nd $75, C Class $60, D Class $60, E Class and below $60, UNR $60
Bonus Prizes: $30 Brilliancy Bonus Prize awarded for the best submitted game, judged after the event.
Brand New Chess Clock to the highest scoring Scholastic Player ages 12 - 17.
Brand New Chess Board to the highest scoring Scholastic Player under 12.
Byes: Available any round if requested before round 1.
Organizational Discretion: The TD has the complete discretion to alter and/or combine the sections, and/or to
alter the prize fund in any fashion before Round 1, including adding to it.
Early Entries: Checks and online payments need to be received by August 17, 2023. Mail checks or money orders
