Event Overview
6 round swiss tournament open to all K-12 students residing within Region IX according to the Texas Chess Association.
Game in 10 minutes plus 5 seconds increment per move. Two sections: Open and Junior. Both sections open to all students.
Prizes: Open Section Scholarships for 1st $250, 2nd $150, 3rd $100. Junior Section trophies for 1st, 2nd 3rd. Both sections limited to 50 players.

Day of Tournament Check-In begins at 9:45 AM and ends at 10:15 AM. Round 1 starts at 10:30. Round 2 11:00. Round 3 11:30. Round 4 12:00. Lunch Break. Round 5 1:00. Round 6 1:30. Blitz tie-break if needed. Award ceremony to follow final round.
Chess equipment provided for 40 players. Please bring sets and clocks if available.
