Sections: High School Championship (9-12), Middle School Championship (6-8*)
High School Reserve (9-12 U-1000), Middle School Reserve (K-8 U-800).
K-8 students are eligible to play in the Middle School RESERVE Section only.
Accelerated Pairings may be used according to OSCA Guidelines. All sections USCF rated.
*Some schools consider 5th grade students to be in Middle School; if this is the case, they are allowed to play in the Championship Section. Please make a note when registering.
Entry Fees: $40 received by 4-30, $50 after. No onsite entries.
Free USCF membership included for new or expired members!!
Online Registration will close at 6 PM on Friday May 6th!
$20 for students for students in financial need, write a note when registering.
Additional scholarships available for students in financial need.

Additional Information
Columbus Chess Academy will provide all sets. Students need to bring their own clocks and know how to set them.
Notation required for all students in grades 4 and above. Half point byes okay, limit 1, must be requested before round 2 pairings posted. May official USCF ratings used.
Masks required in all public spaces; subject to change as the date gets closer.
Awards: Trophies to all players achieving a score of 4 points or higher.
Trophies to top 5 teams in each section (top 4 scores count for team).
The winner of High School Championship will represent Ohio at the
Denker Tournament of High School Champions, plus receive a $250 stipend for expenses.
The winner of the Middle School Championship will represent Ohio at the
Barber Tournament of K-8 Champions, plus receive a $250 stipend for expenses.
OSCA: All Ohio Scholastic Chess Association guidelines for this event will be followed.
Hotels: Many nearby hotels are available. There is no room-block at any one specific hotel. Be sure to reserve early, as this is the same weekend as Ohio State graduation.
Food: There will be a concession stand selling reasonably priced food and beverages.
