2022 Ohio Grade Level State

Eligibility:  All players must reside or attend school in Ohio. All Sections are rated. Players must play in the section for their grade regardless of rating.

Sections: 5 Rounds Swiss. Players are eligible to request byes or make changes between 8:30am to 9:15am.

Announcements at 9:30am. Swiss pairing system will be used. Official November published rating will be used.

K- 6 Time: - G30/d5 Rd1-10am Rd2-11:30am Rd3-1:00pm Rd4 2:20pm Rd5 3:40pm Awards estimated 5pm 

7-12 Time: - G45/d5 Rd1-10am Rd2-NOON Rd3-2:00pm Rd4 4:00pm Rd5 6:00pm Awards estimated 8pm

Byes are only permitted for rounds 1-4. 

Entry Fees: Advance entry fee of $40 must be received by Oct 29th, 2022, $45 thereafter. No onsite entries. Online registration will close at NOON on Friday Nov 4th, 2022. $20 for students for students in financial need, write a note when registering. Cap of 220 players so please register early.

Prizes:  Trophies will be awarded to all players achieving a score of 3.5 points or better in all sections. Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams in all sections. Participation awards to all players. 

Schedule: Check-In 8:30-9:30 AM.  Announcements 9:45 AM. Round 1 starts at 10am and following rounds start ASAP.

Additional Information: Sets will be provided. Students need to bring their own clocks and know how to set them. Notation required for all students in grades 4 and above. Masks required in playing area; subject to change as the date gets closer.
