2022 DFW FIDE Premier 3. Doubletree by Hilton DFW Airport North, 4441 W. John Carpenter Fwy, Irving, TX 75063. Tournament in Bond meeting room. Hotel rates: $79. Reserve at 972-929-8181 by 4/18 and ask for the rate DCC. After 4/18 the rate may or may not be honored. Hotel reservation link can be found at dallaschess.com . Hotel has complimentary hotel shuttle to/from DFW airport. Tournament has two Sections. Foreign players must disclose their FIDE ID number before 1st round in order to play. USA players without FIDE ids must represent USA in international competition in order to play.

Premier: Open to players rated 1800 or above. Players who have had a 1700’s over the board rating, and have a provable over the board rating of 1800 in the past year may pay in this section by paying late entry fee. $$ $500-$320-$180. Class prizes, if any, depend on entries. EF: $96, by 4/25 else $109. Senior (over 65) / Birthday during tournament/ Additional Family Member/Re-entry from Reserve section $65 by 4/25 else $77. Re-entry from Premier section to Premier section is not allowed. Small Minimum prize to the First three GM/IM’s who apply. GM/IM must play all rounds to get minimum prize (entry fee may be deducted from prize).

Reserve: Open to players rated Under 2000. EF: $66, by 4/25 else $79. Senior (over 65) / Birthday during tournament / Additional Family Member / Re-entry $40 by 4/25 else $49. Reentry is allowed from Premier if the player is qualified by rating to play in Reserve. $$ at least 20% of Reserve entry fees. Arbiter will post prize list before the fourth round.

Both Open and Reserve: 5-SS, G/90; 30 second increment. Round 1 of 3 day on Friday at 7:10 pm. Round 1 of 2 day is on Saturday at 9:20 am. Rounds 2 – 5: Sat: 2:20 pm, 7:16 pm, Sun: 9:20 am - 2:20 pm. Both sections are FIDE rated and use FIDE playing rules.  USCF rules/ratings used for awarding prizes. USCF ratings used for pairing purposes. May use US Chess pairing rules. Players not at the board within 60 minutes of the scheduled start of the round will forfeit the game unless the arbiter decides to extend it to 90 minutes on a game by game basis. (Note that the late player's clock will keep running.) Except for US Chess approved Electronic scorekeeping devices, no electronics are allowed in the playing area during the round. This includes rest rooms near the playing area. This rule applies to players, parents, and coaches. Note that the Playing area will be closed to non-players during the round. Every player must turn in a copy of their games. Masks must be worn in the playing area. Other Covid -19 rules will be in effect.
