2022 Alabama State Championship - September 2nd - 4th. Hawkins Hall at Troy University. 3 sections: Premier (1600+), Reserve (Under 1600), Amateur (Under 1200).  6 rounds - Friday (Sept. 2) 7:00 pm; Saturday (Sept. 3) 9:00 am, 2:00 pm, and 7:00 pm; Sunday (Sept. 4) 8:30 am and 2:30 pm. Time control is G/120, d5.

Entry fee is $60 through August 21st. Entry fee is $80 from August 22nd through August 31st. No late registration. No on-site registration. Online registration at https://alabamachess.jumbula.com

Prizes: Premier - $750 (1st), $500 (2nd), $300 (U1900); Reserve - $500 (1st), $300 (2nd), $200 (U1400); Amateur - $350 (1st), $200 (2nd), $150 (U1000). Trophy in each section goes to the Alabama resident to finishes highest.

Tournament will be rated by US Chess. Current US Chess membership is required (https://new.uschess.org/become-member). Alabama Chess Federation membership is required for Alabama residents (https://alabamachess.org/sign-up).
