Event Overview
Format: 5-SS (no eliminations). Accelerated pairings if appropriate .
Time Control: G/75; +30.
Registration: Saturday, 8:30 - 9:15.
Players who have registered in advance do not need to arrive early.
Rounds:
Saturday: 9:30 - 1:00 - 4:30.
Sunday: 9:30 - 1:00
One 1/2-point bye may be requested for any round at any time up to the start of round two.

All players aged 14 and below have the option of registering as amateurs if they wish to do so.
All players without ratings have the option of registering as amateurs if they wish to do so.
Amateurs will not be eligible for cash prizes, but there will be a trophy presented to the top-scoring amateur.
All games will be rated by the United States Chess Federation. (Regular and Quick)
All players must be members of the United States Chess Federation.

THINGS TO KNOW:
Hotel:
The Paola Inn is about 4 blocks from the site. It's comfortable, quiet, and cheap. There are various other lodgings available in the immediate area as well.
Food:
Paola is a happening place! This is a thing which I totally did not know before I went to visit the site! Ample food of all kinds nearby.
We also have a refrigerator to keep food and drinks in, a microwave to cook it, and a nice park right out back to enjoy it in.
Free Parking:
Approximately 40 spaces in front of the building (Please Park Diagonally).
Ample free on-street parking.
In addition, I have confirmed with the city that we are an event, so you can also legally park where the signs say "No Parking Except for Events"
Please don't block driveways.

Director will be available to play an optional game against the player who receives a bye during any round where there is an odd number of players.
Director will not paired normally, and will not be eligible for any cash prizes.
