4SS, G/45; d5 – 4 Rounds. 45 minutes each, 5 second delay (OPEN SECTION)
4SS, G/30; d5 – 4 Rounds. 30 minutes each, 5 second delay (U1200 & UNRATED)


Round 1 starts at 11:00 AM.
 

Note: You Must be 18+ years old to play in this Tournament
    * Sorry No Scholastic Sections, Venue Stipulations
 

SECTIONS & PRIZES, $450 b/25 Paid Entries, plus Trophies
* OPEN = $ 150 – $75, Plus Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
   (U1500 Class Prize $75, Trophy for 1st place)
* U1200 = $100 – $50, plus Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
* UNRATED (Unrated Fun Games) No USCF = Trophy for 1st, Medals 2nd, 3rd
* Top Providence College students will receive 1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies
 

Round Times & Information
* Round 1 will start at 11:00 AM for All Sections.
* 3 Private large rooms have been reserved for sections & skittles
* OPEN Round Times: 11:00 AM, 12:30 (Lunch 2:00), 2:45 PM, 4:30 PM. 
* U1200 & Unrated Round Times: 11:00, 12:00, (Lunch 1:00 PM), 1:45 PM, 2:45 PM
* Lower sections completed by 3:30 – 4:00 PM
* Late arrivals after Round 1 will receive a 1/2 pt. bye or paired with late arrivals.
* Byes must be requested in advance.
* New Policy: On-site Entries must register 20 min. before (10:40 AM) or 1/2 point bye
* Please register in advance by 11/17/2023 @ 11:00PM. Late / On-site entry $5 more.
 

Tournament Entry Fees
* EF $38 for OPEN Sections
* EF $30 for U1200 Section
* EF $30 for Unrated Section
Late On-Site Entries the day of the event is $5 more cash / online
 

Special Discounts
* 1st-TIME TOURNAMENT DISCOUNT = $35
* Includes FREE USCF “YOUNG ADULT” Membership worth $27
* Age 18-23. must be new USCF Membership, No renewals, in advance, not on-site

Additional Information
* MUST BE 18+ Years Old to Play in This Tournament
   NO Scholastic players – Venue Stipulations
* Event venue sponsored by the Providence College Chess Club
* All Prov. College students FREE Entry
* Part of proceeds will go toward helping the Providence College Chess Club
* U1200 & Unrated section will finish around 3:30-4:00 PM. Higher sections 5:30-6:00 PM.
* Plenty of parking. Please use Campus Parking Garage
* Extra skittles rooms, lounge area, cafeteria on-site.
* Bring a clock if you have one. Chess sets provided.
* Anyone can play in a higher section
* Late Entries will receive 1/2 pt. bye or be paired if possible
