Event Overview
- Four rounds: first round at 10 am, subsequent rounds occur as soon as possible.
- Four sections: K-12, K-8, K-5, and K-3
- Time control: Game in 30 minutes with a 5-second delay (US Chess regular and quick rated)
- Entry fee: $50 by 01/25/, $55 by 02/01, $60 by 02/06, $65 on 02/11 (on-site registration closes 30 minutes before round 1)
- Boards and pieces will be provided for all players, but we don’t have enough clocks for everyone (those who have clocks are welcome to bring them)
- This tournament is US Chess rated, so an active US Chess membership is required. If you don't have one please get it here Join US Chess | US Chess.org or we will purchase it for you ($17-$20 value!). Please request it as it is limited to first ten players. - No electronics scoring devices are allowed.
- Parents should look after their kids before and after the games.

PRIZES
Cups and trophies for 1st through 5th in each section, plus special prizes for the 1st place winner in each section! 1st place in the K-12 receives a $200 gift card. 1st place in the other sections will each receive one-month free entry into a GMChessPrep.*

*Admission into some weekday course cannot be guaranteed due to limited seat availability.
Note: For cups and trophies, ties will be broken using standard US Chess tiebreaks. In the event of a tie, the free course prize will be determined by tiebreaks. If multiple players get a perfect score, each of them will receive a free course entry.
VENUE INFORMATION/LOGISTICS
- PARKING: The hotel has free parking. There are spots in front of the hotel and there's also a parking garage.
- The tournament will take place in the grand ballroom.
- Free water will be provided for attendees.
- There is no scheduled lunch break, but there is almost always time for players to have food between games. There aren't any scheduled round times--rounds will occur as soon as possible.
SIDE EVENT
GM Rashad Babaev will provide short game analyses for the first 30 registered players for free. Other players can have their game analyzed by GM Rashad Babaev as well for a fee of $20.
