June 26-27.  16th annual World Open Under 13 Championship. NOTE CHANGES: 6-SS, G/60 d10, Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown (see World Open for location, rates, parking).  Open to all born after 6/27/11. In 3 sections (unrateds allowed any section). Open Section: Plaques to top 5, top 2 each 1500-1699, Under 1500/Unr; free entry in all CCA over the board tournaments 7/19/24-12/31/24 to 1st, 7/19/24-10/31/24 2nd. Under 1400 Section: Plaques to top 5, top 2 each 900-1099, Under 900/Unr, free entry in all CCA over the board tournaments 7/19/24-10/31/24 to 1st, 7/19/24-9/30/24 2nd. Under 700 Section: Plaques to top 5, top 2 each 300-499, Under 300, Unrated; free entry in all CCA over the board tournaments 7/19/24-10/31/24 to 1st, 7/19/24-9/30/24 2nd. Free Entry restrictions:  Some CCA tournaments have minimum rating requirements in their top sections. Others charge an extra fee to play up in the top sections.  CCA free entry prizes do not cover any surcharges for playing up in the top section. EF: $58 online at chessaction.com by 6/24, $70 later or at site. Special USCF dues with magazine with online entry: Young Adult $26, Youth $19.  Reg. ends 10 am 6/26. Rounds Wed.11-2-5; Thu. 10 am-1-4 pm. Awards about 6:30 pm (possibly earlier)  June official ratings used, unofficial uschess.org ratings usually used if otherwise unrated. Cannot play below Online Regular Rating - 100 points. Limit of 2 half point byes, must commit before rd 2.  Entry: chessaction.com. No mailed entries. $15 service charge for refunds. Entries posted at chessaction.com (click “entry list” after entering). Plaques must be claimed at site. Bring set, board, clock if possible- none supplied.
