146th annual New York State Championship– America’s oldest annual tournament!  Out of state welcome. 6-SS, 40/80, SD/30; d30 (2-day option in U2100/below, rds 1-3 G/40 d10), Albany Marriott, 189 Wolf Road, Albany 12205 (NY Thruway Exit 24, I-87 north to Wolf Rd, Exit 4). Free parking, wireless & airport shuttle, restaurants nearby. $18,000 guaranteed prizes. In 5 sections. Championship, open to 1900/above (see peakrating.us). $2000-1200-900-600, top USCF U2300 $800-400. NY State title & $100 bonus to top NYS resident (both decided on tiebreak if tied). FIDE. Under 2100: $1200-700-500-300, top Under 1900/Unr $400-200. FIDE. Under 1800: $1000-700-400-300, top Under 1600 (no Unr) $400-200. Under 1500: $900-600-300-200, top Under 1300 (no Unr) $400-200. Under 1200: $700-400-300-200, top Under 1000 (no Unr) $200-100. Mixed doubles bonus prizes: best male/female 2-player team combined score among all sections: $600-400-200. Team must average under 2200; may play in different sections and schedules; register (no extra fee) before both players begin round 2.  Unrated prize limit $150 in U1200, $250 U1500, $400 U1800.
