Tuesday Rapid is a structured, five-round, unrated rapid tournament with organized pairings and a fast, competitive format.

Format & Eligibility

• Format: 5-round Swiss
• Time control: G/10 — 10 minutes per player, no increment
• Rating: Unrated
• Section: Open
• US Chess membership: Not required
• Open to players of all ages and skill levels.

Round Schedule

• Check-in: Please arrive by 6:05 PM
• Round 1: 6:15 PM
• Round 2: 6:40 PM
• Round 3: 7:05 PM
• Round 4: 7:30 PM
• Round 5: 7:55 PM
• Expected finish: approximately 8:15 PM

Rounds may begin sooner when all games are complete and pairings are ready. The Tournament Director may adjust pairings or the number of rounds based on turnout and time.

Entry Fees

• FCS members: Free
• Non-members: $5

Registration & Policies

• Early registration is strongly encouraged so boards, clocks, seating, and pairings can be prepared.
• All preregistered players will be paired for Round 1.
• Late entries may be accepted at the Tournament Director’s discretion and may enter in the next available round.
• Please notify the Tournament Director if you register but cannot attend.
• Chess sets and clocks are provided.
