Tournament Details: Acosta Moreno Regional Branch Library 12480 Pebble Hills El Paso, TX 79938 Four Sections: Scholastic K-12 Private/ Homeschool Championship– open to Private and Homeschool players in grades K-12 only no rating restriction. Crusader Open Championship- will be for all US Chess Member players regardless of rating or age. Non US chess member Scholastic Private/ Homeschool K-12– open only to scholastic players from Private or Homeschools, Crusader OPEN- is open to all players regardless of age. Players in this section do not have to be US Chess members. Organizer and affiliate reserve right to combine sections based on number of entries. However, if sections do need to be combined we will reward each section based on how your registered. Game Control/ Rounds: Following rounds to begin as soon as the previous rounds end. Lunch: Provided to players only. Courtesy of Crusader Chess Club of ELP. Awards: Trophy to top three individual winners in the US Chess Member section. Team Trophy to top 3 teams in both US Chess Sections! Medals to top 5 in Non US Chess Member sections. How to obtain membership: US Chess memberships may be purchased or renewed at https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess If you need further assistance contact Crusader Chess Club of El Paso. Registration info: Pre- Registration only no on-site registration. Deadline 2/24 Meeting room Space is limited so please contact us soon. Limited to first come first served. No memberships will be processed onsite. School chess team officials may submit team entries using a spreadsheet. All information for players registered is required, including Name, US Chess ID, Expiration, Grade, Section, Team Name, and Email Address (if different from person submitting registrations) Email/text/or call your registration information including the following information to: Crusaderchessclubelp@gmail.com 915.256.7783 Byes: one point bye may be requested during registration or prior to the beginning of the first round. No other byes will be accepted. Players info; If there is a reason why you need to leave during the tournament please respect the players and notify the Tournament Director prior to your departure. Free Entry! Wait list: If availability occurs in any section, we may implement a waiting list on day of tournament. This does not guarantee a spot on the board, but allows entry because of "no show/ withdrawn"players. This allows for everyone to be able to get a chance to play.
