K-5 Championship Section winner will represent Ohio in the Rockefeller National Tournament of Elementary State Champions! 
 

**All states ok in every section except Championship 

The Ohio Online Elementary Championship will be conducted online on lichess.org 

Eligibility: Championship Sections are open to students in the designated grades levels or home school equivalent; who are Ohio residents or enrolled in an Ohio school. Other sections are open to students from all locations. 
Format: 5 Round Swiss; USCF Online Standard Rated. 
5 Sections: K-5 Elementary Championship, K-3 Primary Championship, 
K-5 Premier Under 1200, K-5 Reserve Under 800, K-3 Primary Reserve Under 500. For determining sections, the higher of a player’s USCF Over the Board (OTB) Regular rating and their USCF Online Regular rating will be used. 
Time Limit: K-5 Championship Section: G/40 + 10. Other Sections: G/30 + 5. 
Entry Fee: $40. Financial need call 216-321-7000. Registration closes at 6am EST, March 13th.  Free USCF membership provided for new or expired members. 
Rounds: K-5 Elementary Championship, 11:00-1:00-3:00-5:00-7:00. K-3 Primary Championship, K-5 U1200, K-5 U800, K-3 U500: paired ASAP. 
Awards: Trophies mailed home to all players scoring 3.5 or higher, and top 2 teams (schools) in each section, based on adding the best 4 individual scores. 

Registration: At progresswithchess.org/elem until 6am EST, Friday 3/13.

Fair Play: All games reviewed. Players in the K-5 Elementary Championship and K-3 Primary Championship Sections must be on Zoom with side angle camera. Other sections, no Zoom or cameras required. Players using chess engine assistance will be flagged by lichess and reported to the USCF Ethics Committee. 
Instructions: will be emailed to you regarding how to access the tournament on lichess.org, join the Zoom meeting and setup the camera if applicable.
