Format: Five round swiss format, G/30;d0 (FIDE rapid) tournament. One section, class prizes

Venue: NOLA VFW Post 8973, 531 Lyons St., New Orleans, LA 70115

Prizes: $600 prize fund b/30, 50% guaranteed

1st in open - $300
2nd in open - $150
1st in U1800 class - $100
1st in U1500 class - $50

Registration: 9:15 AM - 9:45 AM. Anyone not registered by 9:45 AM will be given a first round bye. Please do not enter the post prior to 9:15 AM!

Round times: 10 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:45 PM, (meal break), 2:00 PM, 3:15 PM, prizes at 4:30 PM. Round times are tentative, if we can move quicker, we will!

Entry fee: $30 if received by January 4th. $35 until January 9th. $40 on site.

USCF requirement: Current USCF membership required, join here. If your membership does not have an expiration date, it is not yet current.

Byes: Two half-point byes available upon request. All byes must be requested before round 3, with exceptions made for emergency situations. All bye requests final after beginning of round 1.

Late arrivals: Games are forfeited 30 minutes after the round start time if a player has not arrived.

Refunds: Players who withdraw 30 minutes before round one are eligible for a refund of their entry fee, minus any applicable payment-processor fees (typically 5-7%).
