Event Overview

Minors are to be supervised at all times. 

Digital/ paper log where parents leaving BCA during the competition will provide their name and contact/ child's name and another parent/responsible adult who is present at BCA who will watch their children and their contact as well.

Children who are not competing should be with their parents at all times including if their parents leave the school grounds. 

Adults and children should not enter marked off limit places, doors, hallways/ elevators in the school for their safety.

No skateboards/ bikes allowed in the building.


Schedule: The event is four rounds, Swiss-style.  Rounds start at 9:30 a.m., 11:45, 2:00 p.m., and 4:30.

Time controls: G/60, d5

Qualifications: This section is open to any age.  Players must be rated under 1600.

Byes: Up to one half-point bye is available per player.  It must be requested prior to the start of round two.

Entry fee: $40 (until September 30), $50 after.

Prizes: The prize fund is $550 based on 25 entries.  Will not reduce below 70%.  1st: $200, 2nd: $150, 3rd: $100.  Top under 1400: $50.  Top under 1200: $50.
