Please arrive by 9:45, as it takes time for the YMCA to process people & allow them upstairs.
The tournament must end by 2:30 p.m.

Tournament format:
3-SS
G/30 d5
3 Sections: 1600+, Under 1600, Under 1200

Rounds - 10:15, 11:40 a.m. & 1:05 p.m.

Registration will be opened on June 18th & closed when the 64 player limit is reached or at 5 p.m. on Friday 7/1.

Entry Fee:
$30
$25 for Westfield CC members.
Additional $5 discount if you are a member of the Westfield YMCA (Proof of Y membership required).
Registration & payment must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday 7/1.
To make our book-keeping easier, please wait for an invoice.

Prizes, by section (b/32 total paid entries):
Open - $70-40-31, U2000 $30.
Under 1600 - $60-40-31, U1400 $30.
Under 1200 - $60-40-31, U1000 $30.
All prizes will be paid via PayPal.

The Westfield CC reserves the right to:

1. Charge cancellation/re-stocking fees or suspend/ban players for late or silent withdrawals.
2. Suspend/ban or charge compensatory/reinstatement fees to those playing with an expired USCF membership.

Anti-COVID measures

All attendees must sign the Westfield Area Y's COVID-19 Waiver! Please do this online, at form.jotform.com/201765326627054, to avoid long lines & get the tournament started on time. If you are under age 18 a parent will have to sign for you. Everyone must also agree to the Y's Code Of Conduct.

The Westfield CC requires that you wear a mask (Bring your own. We are not supplying them.) & reserves the right to eject or refuse those who are non-compliant.

No eating is permitted in the tournament room. Ask the YMCA if you may eat in the lounge.

Maximum 64 players + limited number of guests (see below).
No walk-in players or unexpected visitors allowed!

Guest limits for players:
Adults: No guests allowed.
Age 10-17: 1 guardian permitted.
Under age 10: 1 guardian required.
Westfield YMCA members: No guest limitations.

All players & guests will be limited to areas designated for chess. Normally, this will be in the Kellogg rooms, 201-202 & the Glasser lounge. If the above are unavailable, chess will be in rooms 107-108 with 109 serving as the lounge.
