Central Valley October Quads (Fresno/Clovis)
Join us for a USCF-rated Quads tournament hosted by the Clovis Chess Club.
Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026
Location: Clovis Senior Activity Center (735 3rd St, Clovis, CA 93612)
Entry Fee: $30 per player (cash preferred)
Prize: $60 to the winner of each quad
If two or more players tie for first place in a quad, the $60 prize will be split among the tied players.
Format: Quads (3 rounds)
Time Control: G/30+10
Check-In: 8:30 AM
Schedule:
Round 1: 9:00 AM
Round 2: 10:45 AM
Round 3: 12:45 PM
Estimated finish time is around 2:30 PM.
What is a Quads tournament?
Players are grouped into sections of four based on rating. Each player faces the other three players in their quad, guaranteeing three competitive games against opponents of similar strength.
USCF Membership: All players must have a current US Chess membership.
