Rounds, Style, Time Control: 3 Round Swiss System with 3 Sections Time Control 55+10 (10-second increment)

Sections: Gold, 1700 and up; Silver, 1300 to 1700, Bronze, Below 1300.  Play-up fee: $25, must be within 200 points of section minimum.

COVID: Masks required per Illinois and Cook County orders.

Free Lunch: Free box lunch for all participants. A preference survey will go out before the event.

Entry Fee: $50 through 10/18, $60 through 10/20, $80 through 10/22. No entries onsite  

Tournament Check-in: 8:00 - 8:45; arrive and check yourself in on the pre-entry list.

Round Times: 1: 9:00, 2:12:00, 3:2:30

Total Prizes: $1,350 based on 54 entries. Prizes paid via PayPal within ten business days of event. PayPal Personal Accounts are free and allow transfers to your bank. Go to www.paypal.com, choose sign-up and pick personal account. Please ensure that the email address you use for entry is associated with a PayPal account.

Prizes per Section if Based-On Reached: 1st: $150, 2nd: $125, 3rd: $100, 4th: $75

Bring chess clocks, none provided. Please know how to set your clock for increment and how to add time to the clock in case of a time penalty. Print out instructions and carry them with you.
