9SS. 5-Day International Section. 7SS 4 or 3-Day Schedules available for U2300, Reserve and Novice Sections.  DoubleTree by Hilton Bush International, 15747 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Houston, TX 77032. HR $92+tax, (281) 848-4000.  The International Section uses FIDE rules and August 2024 FIDE Rating List for Pairings.  US Chess ratings for prizes.  Players must compete in all nine (9) rounds to be eligible for prizes.  U2300 Section is FIDE rated and uses FIDE rules to govern play.  US Chess ratings for pairings and prizes.  Reserve and Novice Sections are only US Chess rated and use US Chess August Rating List for pairings and prizes.  All Sections G/90+30-sec Inc.  International Section, FIDE Norms possible, 100GPP,  FIDE & US Chess Rated.  PRIZES:  $2,400 - $1,200 - $600 - $405 - $200, (Top U2400 US Chess Rating: $800; Top U2200 US Chess rating: $400).  Special Prizes for Top Three Collegiate or Below (e.g., HS, etc.) Students in International Section: $400 - $250 - $150 (+ plaques).  The winners of the Place Prizes are also eligible to win the Special Prizes. U2300 SECTION PRIZES: $800 - $405 - $205 (U2100: $400 - $200 (U1900:  $300 - $150).  RESERVE (U2000) SECTION PRIZES: $800 - $405 - $205 (Class B, 1600 -1799 Prizes:  $400 – 200; U1600 Prizes:  $300 - $150).  NOVICE (U1500) SECTION PRIZES:  $500 - $250 - $125 (Class E, 1000 – 1199 Prizes:  $300 - $150;  U1000 Prizes: $300 - $150; Top Unrated: $200.  Prizes in the International Section are guaranteed.   Prizes in other sections are based on 200 players combined attendance in U2300, Reserve, and Novice Sections.
