2026 Mississippi State Championship

● October 17-18. Open to all. Only Mississippi residents may win
titles/trophies. Format: 5SS, rounds 1-2 g/60 i/30, rounds 3-5 g/90
i30
● One half point bye available for all but last round. Must declare
before the start of the 2nd round.
● Prize funds will be split in the case of ties.
● US Chess Federation rated. USCF membership required for all
participants. Mississippi Chess Association membership required
of all Mississippi participants aged 18 or older.
● Nissan Training Center

● Early entry fee (must be received by 10/6): $55, includes yearly
MCA dues. Junior entries (under 18) are $45 (use code
SCHOLASTIC) and do not include MCA dues. After 10/6 all
entries increase by $20. Enter online at:

● Three sections: Open, U1600, U1000.
● Prizes: 75% payout of entry fees. Open 1st, 2nd, 3rd;U1600 1st, 2nd, 3rd; U1000 1st, 2nd, 3rd

● Rounds: Saturday 9, 2, 6. Sunday 8:30, 2:30.
● All players must check-in in person or by email by 8:30am.
Late registration closes at 8:30am. Players who check-in or
register after 8:30am will be paired on an as-available basis
after the round has begun.
● The Mississippi Chess Association will host its annual business
meeting Sunday at 1:30pm.
