2024 Ohio Grade Level Championships

5-round Swiss, all sections rated. Players must reside or attend school in Ohio, and must play in the section for their grade. USCF membership required for grades 4-12. Grades K-3 may be USCF members or play under the Junior Tournament Player Program without a membership. Time controls: grades K-5 G/30;d5, grades 6-12 G/45;d5.  One optional half-point bye available for any round, must commit before round 2 pairings are posted; however, anyone paired out in round 1 many not take a half-point bye for a later round. Individual trophies to anyone scoring 3.5 or more. Three team trophies per grade. Any two players in the same grade and attending the same school constitute a team; a maximum of three scores will count toward a team trophy. Notation is required in grades 4-12. Advance entry online by mail or online through our website. All entries must be received by 8:00 pm on Friday, November 22. Entry fee $36 through October 25, higher thereafter. All necessary equipment will be provided by the organizer. For those staying overnight, a block of rooms has been secured with a discounted rate of $115 for a king room and $125 for a double queen.
