US Chess Rated Section
A 5 round Swiss System, G/90 + 10.
Entry Fee:
$40 before 10/4; $45 before 10/11; $50 on Site
Prizes:
- 1st place: $300;
- Class A (1800—1999): $150;
- Class B (1600—1799), $150:
- Class C (1400—1599), $150;
- Class D (1200—1399), $100;
- Class E & Below, (1199 & Below); $100

Saturday, Oct 12:
- Registration; 7:30 – 8:00 am
- Round 1, 8:15 am
- Round 2, 12:30 pm
- Round 3, 3:30 pm
- Sunday Oct 13:
- Round 4, 9:00 am;
- Round 5, 1:15 pm.
Casual Players Section (non-US Chess Members)
Anyone in your family not a member but wants to play? This section is for them! A great first tournament! This is a five-round tournament (Swiss System), where players are not eliminated. Time control is 30 minutes per player with 10 seconds added per move.
Prizes:
USChess memberships for the top finisher. Entry Fee: $5. Only first time USChess members are eligible for the prize. Equipment prizes for the top 3 finishers.

- USChess rules used for all sections
- During play, electronic devices must be off and not on your person.
- Notation required in rated section, optional in non-rated section.
- You are required to use the provided score sheets. You can transcribe your game to your score book later if you choose.
- No eating at the board
- Rated section gets priority on clocks
- One half point bye is available in rounds 1—4 and must be requested before the start of round 2 (rule 22C3).
