ChessPalace Saturday Tournament

On Saturdays, the chess club holds a weekly rated tournament of 3 rounds (4 rounds for the beginners' section) with round 1 starting at 10 am. Time control is Game 85 min/5 sec delay (Game 45 min/5sec for beginners' section).

This tournament is open to players of all ages and levels. Players must have an active US Chess membership or expect to sign up or renew it onsite.

Details:

• Three rounds (four rounds for beginners section - players who are unrated and under 1200)
• Schedule: Onsite Registration at 9:30 – 9:45 am; Round 1 starts at 10 AM (Beginners' section ends around 3 pm; Advanced sections ends between 5-7 pm)
• Time Control: 85 minutes with 5 seconds delay (Beginner section will have 4 rounds at game 45 minutes with 5-seconds delay.)
• Entry Fee: $30 ($40 same-day/onsite)
