Players must apply for this event first! We are limited to 60-spots in the 9-Round FIDE Norm tournament. This is a 7-day event that moves locations starting in Round 5!
WHEN: August 26th - September 1st
LOCATIONS:
Rounds 1 - 4 are at the Nashville Chess Center (2911 Belmont Blvd. Nashville, TN 37212)
Round 5 - 9 are at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel (2025 Rosa Parks Blvd. Nashville, TN 37208)
SCHEDULE:
Monday, August 26th - Opening Ceremony at 5:30 PM and Round 1 at 6:30 PM
Tuesday, August 27th - Round 2 - 6:30 PM
Wednesday, August 28th - Round 3 - 4:00 PM (with special event for participants after)
Thursday, August 29th - Round 4 - 6:30 PM
MOVE SITES
Friday, August 30th - Round 5 at 6:30 PM
Saturday, August 31st - Round 6 at 12:00 PM and Round 7 at 6:00 PM
Sunday, September 1st - Round 8 at 11:00 AM and Final Round 9 at 4:30 PM
ENTRY FEES:
Norm Seekers - $349 by July 10th ($50 more after)
Foreign IMs and WGMS - $249 by July 10th ($50 more after)
GMS - Free with no deduction from prizes. We do have some conditions to offer - very limited space - apply immediately to director@nashvillechess.org
