Format:

            There are three events!

            Event 1: Morning Simultaneous Exhibition 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM; Game 60 $20 Fee

            Event 2: Afternoon Simultaneous Exhibition: 12:30 – 2:30 PM; Game 60 $20 Fee

            Event 3: 4 Round Game G/25; +5 ; 3:00 – 8:00 PM

Time: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM 

Onsite Registration and Check in 2:00 - 2:30 PM for the Tournament

Round 1 starts at 3:00 PM; other rounds ASAP

Players must check in before 2:30 PM or otherwise contact the tournament organizer to ensure they are paired for Round 1.

Players arriving after registration will receive one half-point bye and will be paired in subsequent rounds. Half-point byes may be requested for any round during registration only (2 max).

Time Control: 5SS, Game G/25; +5

Four Sections and Prizes:

Heavyweight (1801+) Prizes: (1) $300 (2) $100 (3) $50

Middleweight (1401-1800) Prizes: (1) $300 (2) $100 (3) $50

Welterweight (1001-1400) Prizes: (1) $300 (2) $100 (3) $50

Featherweight (unrated-1000) Prizes: (1) $300 (2) $100 (3) $50

• Anyone can play in the heavyweight section.
• Official July 2024 US Chess Ratings used.
• Players rated within 100 points of next section cutoff (July supplement) may play up.
• You are eligible to win prizes for the section you play in.
• Unrated players may enter the featherweight or heavyweight sections.
• Prizes paid on site during the day of the tournament.
• Defeat the GM and win $100.

• $40 by July 14, 2024
• $50 by July 27, 2024
• $60 on site
