US Chess will be broadcasting top games from the US Open and invitational events on our Twitch channel with live analysis throughout the US Open! Click here for the round times for the U.S. Open and here for the schedules for the Invitationals.
Chess sets and boards will be provided for tournament games. You might want to bring your own, however, as none are provided for skittles/analysis.
Chess clocks are not provided. Please bring your own clock. If you are unsure of how to set your clock for the event's time controls, this video shows how to set some of the most commonly used clock for a single time control game with delay. Stay tuned for more videos.
The schedules are the seven-day, five-day, and four-day options. The shorter schedules use faster time controls in the first 5-6 rounds.
The U.S. Open itself is one large open tournament with no "under" sections. The three schedules merge beginning on August 1 for round 7.
The full breakdown of round times, by schedule, can be found here. Round times, by schedule, are also reflected on the daily schedule view.
