"Building School Chess Programs that make a Difference: Community Impact, Instructional Innovation, and International Recognition"
This seminar will be led by FIDE Chess in Education Commission (EDU) Chairman, Jerry Nash, and EDU Commission member Abel Talamantez. They will highlight the role of FIDE EDU in advancing chess in education, the FIDE School Awards program, and the strategies schools can use for community engagement and stakeholder support.
This presentation is valuable for grassroots chess clubs, existing programs in schools, and competitive chess schools looking to broaden their community engagement. We will also discuss innovative tools teachers can use in classrooms to use chess as an educational tool for academic and social/emotional learning.
