Clarification: SuperNationals round 4 starts at 1:30 p.m. today (Saturday) for ALL sections (including K-1 sections).

US Chess is sharing space with other conventions and meetings this weekend.  We must stay in space that is part of the US Chess footprint for SuperNationals.  We cannot sit in rooms or doorways that are not under US Chess’s control for the weekend.  We also cannot block those conventions’ access to those areas.  On Level 2, do NOT camp out past Exhibit Hall WB1.  On level 3, do NOT camp out past room W308.

Notice to all families who have players playing in Hall WA4 (all Elementary K-3, K-5, and K-6 sections). 

All players in the K-6 Sections (Championship and Under/Unrated) are to leave through the back of the playing hall into Hall WA3 (skittles). Parents should wait at the back of WA3 for their K-6 players. There is a waiting area here for parents and families. 

All players in the K-3 and K-5 Sections (Championship and Under/Unrated) are to leave through the main doors of Hall WA4 (the same way you come in).

Special Guest GM Leinier Dominguez highlights the list of guest grandmasters appearing at SuperNationals VIII. Other guests include GM Awonder Liang, IM/WGM Carissa Yip, WGM Tatev Abrahamyan, and GM Elshan Moradiabadi. 

More information about these guests will be made available here. All weekend, there will be opportunities to attend lectures, simuls, and play blitz against these guests, as detailed on the daily schedule page. 

As of April 15, the entry fee for all sections of SuperNationals VIII is $225. This rate is valid through April 28, and increases to $350 after.

Registration is no longer accepted by mail, and there are no on site entries.

100% refund of the entry fee if notified by email to nationalevents@uschess.org or in person at Chess Control by 11am Friday. No refunds after that time.

US Chess has secured discounted hotel rates at four properties directly connected to the Orange County Convention Center: Hyatt Regency Orlando, Hilton Orlando, Rosen Centre, and Rosen Plaza.

Rates at the Rosen Plaza and Hilton Orlando are only guaranteed through Monday, April 14.

Rosen Centre will give the tournament rate until the hotel sells out.

Note: once tournament rate availability is gone, hotels will revert to their regular prices — often double the discounted rate.

Planning to arrive early or stay late? Act fast! Discounted rooms for May 7, 8, and 12 are especially limited.

$150 entry fee expires April 14!

The $150 entry fee is available through Monday, April 14. After that, the fee increases to $225!

Keep in mind, US Chess offers a full refund of the entry fee if you withdraw by 11:00 AM ET on Friday, May 9. Just let us know before the deadline!
