Registration

Entry Fees:
- CLICK HERE for online registration
- $155 by 11:59pm ET July 13, 2026, then
- $185 by July 27, 2026, and then
- $220 after July 27, 2026, online and on-site until 3:00pm ET, Monday, August 3, 2026; afterwards, all entries must go to Chess Control on-site
- All entries must be made at least 2 hours before your first game is played, or player will receive a bye for their first round.
- GMs and WGMs play free; no deduction from prize
- Re-entries: $100.
- No phone or mail-in entries
Byes
- Half-Point Byes - Must commit before Round 4 pairings are posted; up to 3 half point byes allowed for 2000/up, 2 half point byes for 1400-1999, one half point bye for Under 1400 or unrated. Limit 1 half point bye in last two rounds.
- Zero-point byes are always available in any round.
- All Byes must be requested at least two hours before the round(s) in question.

- 7-Day Schedule - Rounds 1-9 at 40/100, SD/30, +30
- 5-Day Schedule - Rounds 1-5 at G/90 d5, Rounds 6-9 at 40/100, SD/30, +30
- 4-Day Schedule - Rounds 1-6 at G/60 d5, Rounds 7-9 at 40/100, SD/30, +30

- US Chess will issue badges to all participants. Badges will be required to enter the defined playing area. More information can be found on the Main Event website.
