Pan Am Champs in San Fran Draws Teams from Alaska to Mexico

The Pan-American Intercollegiate Team Chess Championships begin on December 27th at 6 PM PT in San Francisco, and over 50 teams are in the mix so far. U.S states represented include Alaska,which was just featured in the Voice of Alaska local news.

Among the contenders are reigning President Cup Champion’s, University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley, as well as Pan-Am Champion’s Webster University, who won the event six times in a row from 2012-2017.
