Nakamura Wins Ultimate Blitz; Kasparov Donates 10K to US Olympic Team

Garry Kasparov, who excited fans with his dynamic games and sharp openings, took third place and donated the $10,000 winnings to the US Olympic team. One of the Ultimate Blitz’s most notable games was Wesley So’s attacking victory over Garry Kasparov.

Kasparov won a beautiful game of his own in the final round against Caruana.

Nakamura found his famous blitz form on the second day of the match to win several slugfests. Here he defeated his closest rival after finding a sweet tactic with 27…Nxb4!
