Kasparov Chess Foundation Announces 2016 Individual and Team Regional Scholastics

Eighth Annual Mid-Atlantic Scholastic Championships

The Seventh Annual Greater Chicago Scholastic Championships

When: February 6, 2016; 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Where: McCormick Place – West Building

New York, NY, Jan. 22, 2016 — Kasparov Chess Foundation welcomes students from K – 12 grades to take part in its 2016 Scholastic Championships Series, spanning across major metropolitan areas of the nation. The Foundation is sponsoring these tournaments in association with local chess organizations in each region, including Maryland State Chess Association in the Mid-Atlantic, and Renaissance Knights Foundation in the Midwest.

According to Kasparov Chess Foundation President, Michael Khodarkovsky, the tournaments are spread out throughout the country to make it accessible and affordable to all players and their families.
