US Chess wishes a Happy Father's Day to chess parents and father figures! A well known chessdad among our membership is commentator and IM David Pruess, who was interviewed at the PRO Chess League Finals in San Francisco a few months after the birth of his son. We also offer our best wishes to popular Grandmaster, perennial US Championship contender, YouTube star and member of the Saint Louis Archbishops, Varuzhan Akobian.

And a Happy Father's Day to FM Nathan Resika, who explained in his recent heartfelt essay, how health underscored the importance of family to him.

This can give you a new outlook on life. I now treasure every day with my family and am just grateful to have good health. Singing and chess are just icing on the cake.
On twitter, several prominent chess fathers talked about their plans this Sunday. https://twitter.com/DanielRensch/status/1008160723577401344 https://twitter.com/GMCanty/status/1008358403364806657   Are you a chess parent?
