US Chess is seeking applicants for the positions of Heads of Delegation (HoD) and Coaches for upcoming FIDE International Youth events. The policy for selection is posted on the US Chess website.
The three events covered by this process are:
- 2018 Pan-American Youth Chess Championships
- 2018 World Youth Chess Championships
- 2018 World Cadet Chess Championships
For schedule, location and details of these events, please see http://www.fide.com/calendar/fide-calendar.html. Once application is made, applicants will be considered for all events with future announced deadlines and until further announcements for applications are made.
Applicants for the position of Head of Delegation must be currently licensed FIDE Senior Trainer (FST) or FIDE Trainer (FT). Find additional information about the FIDE Trainers’ System here.
The successful applicant must also be a current member of US Chess in good standing through the end of the FIDE event for which application is made. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the membership requirement is satisfied at the time application is made.
A complete application will consist of the following.
- Letter of application that specifies which event(s) are desired, and which position is desired for each event.
- Current resume.
- A list of at least three professional references.
