  1. Confused as to what happened in the Andrey Baryshpolets / Illya Nyzhnyk round 6 match. The Bay Area Chess website shows a victory for Illya (black pieces) after move 29 Rd4 for white. White was up a pawn, ahead on points and no apparent time trouble ? The ChessBomb website is even more puzzling showing a win for black (IIlya) after black’s move 30 Qd8 ?? Did the chess websites get their color’s crossed or was Andrey possibly flagged or disqualified ? Would appreciate a response from anyone in the know, thanks. Congrats to all teams for a great tournament.

  2. In the past have any of the Webster players gotten degrees after several years of study? The USCF might check out if Webster players almost always come for a year or maybe two and then go back to Europe.

    • Dude come on, Webster has produced 1 super GM pro who left and the rest have graduated with an average GPA of 3.5-3.7. The exception is not the trend in this case.

  3. Perhaps from the beginning of the tournament colleges that offer chess scholarships should only be allowed to compete against each other….this would make the rest of the tournament (non chess scholarship schools) have a more enjoyable, exciting and interesting experience..
