Format: 5 Rounds, Swiss System. All games are US Chess-rated. One half-point bye if requested prior to the start of Round 3. Re-entry allowed after Round 1 only.
Sections: Open, Under 1600, and U1200. No unrated players in the Open Section.
Ratings for Sectioning and Prizes: We will use the September 2023 US Chess Rating Supplement (Regular OTB).
Entry Fees: $95 through Sat 9/16; $105 beginning Sun 9/17; $115 beginning 9/21 and onsite; Re-entry fee $30. FIDE-Titled players free -- entry fee will be deducted from any prize money earned. HRCA will retain $5 for all withdrawals prior to Round 1 and refund the remainder. No refunds after Round 1 begins.
